Global Rockstar is an online music platform for fans and artists. Every year Global Rockstar conducts the world s largest online music contest where musicians from all countries participate with their original works (music & video). Global Rockstar offers up-and-coming artists not only a global stage but also the chance to monetize their music during the contest by selling fan items for votes. The grand prize of the yearly contest is 25,000 USD. In the Global Rockstar app, music lovers can discover new artists from all around the world, listen to their songs, watch their videos and vote: Registered users can cast free social media votes, but also paid votes, called MEGAVOTES, to help their favorite artists to climb up the charts. For each MEGAVOTE, fans receive a product, offered and delivered by the artist, in return. By clicking on the MEGAVOTE button on an artist profile, fans can discover which products and services the artist is offering in return for MEGAVOTES. The products that the artists are offering go from digital products, like mp3 song downloads, to physical products such as signed albums, band T-Shirts and much more. The price range of the products goes from 1.-EURO to 2,500.-EURO. For each MEGAVOTE (costs: 1 credit = 1 EURO), the artist receives 10 votes in the contest and earns money: The payouts for artists go from 50% (digital products) to 90% (physical products) of the net revenues generated via MEGAVOTES. GLOBAL ROCKSTAR 2015: The yearly contest starts with national preliminaries (until 1.12.2015): One artist per participating country advances to the next round. In the Global Finals (1.12.2015 15.12.2015) all national winners compete for the grand prize.
